Enterprises Show a Need for Speed at Pure Accelerate 2017

Jun 27, 2017

Thank you to everyone who made Pure Accelerate 2017 a success! We really enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with customers and partners and share our vision for smoother data migrations. If you missed our booth, you can still watch our video presentation here.

Pure did a great job of putting on a fun show, and as our second year sponsoring the event, it’s clear that there’s strong market momentum behind their all-Flash platform. You know you’re at the right party when Snoop Dogg is there.

One of the great things about attending our partner events (beyond the awards and entertainment) is the opportunity to hear firsthand the data migration issues that companies are facing. We hear from customers all the time that migration is one of their biggest challenges, and it’s a great feeling to have them come up to our booth and thank us, unprompted, for making their jobs easier.

Pure picked a good name for their event – Accelerate – since it’s at the heart of what we do. Companies often have to wait months after they buy a new storage platform before they start using it because of migration delays. With our Data Migration Server, that delay is cut down to days rather than weeks or months. We know that our customers love our solution, but we also know that there are a lot more potential customers that don’t know how simple their data migrations could be. Shows like Pure Accelerate are a great opportunity, because they help us spread the word and get real-time feedback on our solution.

Of course, we’re more than a pure Pure play. We heard similar comments from our customers at other storage events this year. Our goal is to play nice in the middle, between different storage technologies. We think of it as any-to-any migration. Wherever you’re coming from or wherever you’re going to on your storage journey, our goal is to help you get there faster and safer.

Until our paths cross again, may all of your migrations be Cirrus-ly easy.
