In this Cirrus Migrate Cloud Electives course, you'll learn how to migrate unstructured (file) data using CMC's purpose-built differential sync engine. Build a migration through the wizard with the right metadata mode, filters, schedule, QoS, and automation hooks, then monitor passes, interpret file analytics and sub-file reduction, and close out with data verification, Chain of Custody, and a clean cutover.
Our worked examples cover a local NFS like-to-like migration on Linux and a remote host-to-host (H2H) migration between Windows hosts, so you'll see both single-host and cross-host topologies end to end.
Before taking this course, you should be familiar with CMC or have taken the CMC: Foundations course.

How to Enroll in Foundation Courses (Self-Paced)
Follow these steps to enroll in Cirrus Migrate Cloud (CMC) Foundations, Cirrus Migrate On-Premises(CMO) Foundations, or Automated Hypervisor Migration with MigrateOps.
Step 1: Visit the Cirrus Data Customer Center at https://customer.cirrusdata.com
Step 2: Log in using your Cirrus Data account credentials (if you don't have an account, please contact us)
Step 3: Once logged in, click on your profile avatar in the top-right corner to open the dropdown menu
Step 4: Select "Training Center" from the dropdown menu options
Step 5: Browse the available courses and locate the foundation course you want to take (CMC Foundations, CMO Foundations, or MigrateOps Automation)
Step 6: Click on the course to view detailed information and prerequisites
Step 7: Click the "Enroll Me" button to complete your enrollment
Step 8: You will receive immediate access to the course materials and can begin learning right away
Note: All Foundation courses are self-paced and have no prerequisites. You can start immediately after enrollment and learn at your own speed.
